Meet the Founder, LAUREN ANDERSON.

NEURALAUREN is an artist, published neuropsychology researcher, and award-winning omnimedia journalist with a professional foundation in behavioral healthcare, multimedia marketing, and arts and culture advocacy.

Cleveland-born, Naples-raised, and now based in Auckland, Lauren Anderson is the founder of NEURALAUREN LLC, a brand at the intersection of science, creativity, and storytelling. 

By day, she works as a clinical mental health professional and freelance columnist; by night, she transforms into a classically trained trumpeter turned DJ, blending the cerebral with the soulful. 

With over a decade of combined experience across corporate and nonprofit sectors, Lauren offers custom-tailored services and solutions at both the creative and strategic level. Her work is rooted in a multidisciplinary approach that merges neuropsychology with consumer behavior, artistic expression, and digital media.

In 2021, Lauren graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with a concentration in Neuroscience and Cognition and a minor in Journalism from Florida Gulf Coast University. 

During her academic career, Lauren conducted research in her alma mater’s Computational Perception Laboratory, where she deepened her understanding of how humans and machines interpret sensory information. This experience became a foundational influence on her work, bridging the gap between empirical science and creative expression.

The metaverse moniker NEURALAUREN, was inspired by the anagram of her first name, Lauren, which serendipitously scrambles into the words neural and unreal. 

This linguistic coincidence resonated deeply with her identity, reflecting both her fascination with the neural sciences and her imaginative, dreamlike approach to art. Her love for puzzles, games, and cognitive complexity further solidified the brand’s direction.

These seemingly serendipitous synchronicities continue to fuel her belief in the metaphysical magic of life that traditional empiricism often struggles to explain and ultimately contributed to the birth of the NEURALAUREN project in 2022.

In 2023, she officially founded NEURALAUREN LLC, continuing her journey as an ever-evolving accidental artist, endeavoring entrepreneur, and skeptical scientist.

Her holistic philosophy informs all aspects of her work, from neuropsychological services to omnimedia production, bridging logic and intuition to deliver impactful, integrated experiences. 

As of 2025, NEURALAUREN LLC serves clients across New Zealand and the United States, offering neuro-informed strategies, creative content, and collaborative solutions on a global scale.

When Lauren isn't working, reading, or spending time with loved ones, you can find her shredding the decks of her DDJ-REV-1, playing her 43 BachStrad, hiking, or enjoying an absurdly strong cup of coffee in-between lengthy Xbox and Nintendo gameplay sessions.
